Convert co2 cartridge airgun to pcp?

I'm sure there are more knowledgeable folks out there, but here's what I get from my time spent reading forum posts:
It is possible to convert a bulk fill gun to HPA (high pressure air) BUT only using pressures of around 1100 psi or so(not sure the exact working pressure, but much lower than a typical PCP). The valve may need to be pinned into the airtube to prevent pressure blowing it out of position. I have not read of anyone converting from a cartridge Co2 to HPA, it may be possible. You might check the Green Crosman forum, lots of experimenters there.
Archer airguns sells the QB79 set up for HPA on their site, you may find some info there also.

Sure, with all due caution !

I have a QB78 with a 79 adaptor and a 3,000psi nija tank with 1,100psi reg.
And many of the crosman rigs are often converted using discovery parts ( and pinning the valve on any conversation is a good idea ) , Mike T's site has some information:

I have fired ( safely ) converted 22xx rigs from 6fpe to 40fpe and all were fun.

I did it. I converted a 1760 to PCP. Several others in our club did similar conversions. This was about 5 years ago. Also the Marauder and Discovery are advertised as user convertable. Changing the Marauder is done by adjusting the valves performance and is a good study in the differences in the two systems.

For me, the best reason for the change is performance is cold weather. For others, it may be the availability of CO2 over HPA, I live at 5000 feet above sea level and it snowed an inch last. Some years it is a long wait untill CO2 weather returns.
