Continuum torque value for barrel screws....FX ANSWER

Anyone have the torque value for the Continuum barrel screws please? 

I have them torqued to 20 inch pounds currently, but would like to know if that is correct please.

I torqued mine closer to 25

WOW! I was hesitant at 20 because I was afraid of egg-shaping the receiver holding the barrel over time. I use 12 on my stock screws, not sure that's enough for the barrel, especially if not babied.

Anyone else have a say....like FX?

I failed to mention that I had issues with my barrel slipping forward at high pressures with the heavy slug tunes. It was much worse with my .30 cal Impact though.

I asked FX USA and here is their answer direct from the reply email this morning....

There is no official torque value for the barrel holding screws. Please use your best judgment when tightening as we would describe the tightness as "hand snug" or "just enough."

Now ya'll know!

Yeah makes sense, you see them assembling in the factory with just a t-handle. Never had them come loose in the Royale, Boss or Impact (even at 130+fpe)

I was doing some research on this because I’m installing a barrel tensioner on my maverick. I pulled out my fat wrench and staring working it up slowly turns out my hand tight is around 25 inch pounds. So that where I set it. I don’t use t handles or screwdriver Allen’s just regular 90° long Allen’s.
