This has been on my mind for a while. After reading plenty of posts on about advantages and disadvantages of .22 caliber air rifles I’m considering making a move into that arena in the near future. I definitely want something that can shoot as well, preferably without having to swap barrels when I want to shoot them. I’d like something that’s comfortable and robust enough to hunt with and fun to use for plinking and punching paper targets, but not too heavy. Side lever actions are desirable with a decent shot count (at least 25 shots per fill). I’d like something I don’t have to constantly tune and re-tune.
On the pellet side some rifles that have caught my attention are: Weihrauch HW100, FX Dreamline, Daystate Huntsman Revere. I kind of want a semi-Bull pup/carbine or a standard length rifle. I really like my Brocock Bantam Sniper HR, but I think I’d like to explore some other brands. What are your thoughts and suggestions? If there is anything in particular that you think I should be mindful of please let me know.
