Consistency???

Is consistency too much to ask? Since 2008, H&N has made the .22, Baracuda Green with head diameters ranging from 5.50 - 5.54, in 12.50, 12.65, 12.35 and 12.96 grains. The first run of 12.65gr with a head diameter of .50-.51, worked best with my TX200, but I have no reason to believe that they will be comming back. Why are head diameter and weight always changing?

Pellets are made with dies. When the dies start to wear, the cavities get bigger, thus yielding bigger and heavier pellets. You would think new dies could be make to the original specs, but that isn't always the case
