Keyman, You are getting all kinds of input and it seems every one has a great deal of love for the Cricket and perhaps you already know that the Vulcan is made by one of the Cricket originators. I am not privy to the details of their split, but it seems the Vulcan which is also made in the same country has several improvement that could make a big difference to you. The Vulcan has the cocking lever upfront which to many of us is a BIG plus and then the fit and finish is better. The two guns are so very similar and so good it seems only touching them will make you decide. Let us know what you decide but touch them first!

Im a vulcan fan myself. Have a .25 gen 3 and love it. I take pigeons and sparrows out to 127 yards with it.

yep, I handled both. Vulcan was a little heavier. that's all academic. forward cocker is good. accuracy is good. Matt @ RL airguns has them both, kind of pushed cricket. Maybe good maybe bad!. He was very helpful and we talked a while. I think his biggest kick was that he disliked Vulcan synthetic . also it was 22 and I am only interested in 25.

he was pretty adamant that 200 yd shots were common. (????) I have no experience. I shoot my Annie @ 130 , deadly. just not a consistent as I would like.

Keyman I know Matt personally and I can tell you he is a good shooter and I know Crickets can make those long shots too. I didn’t mention the Vulcan bc I never owned one, I know there great guns but a bit heavy, the side forward lever is also a plus and thank God they got rid off the annoying ping! Lol

Another vote for the Cricket, no frills an ounce or so more in weight, at 33 inches it's easily handled. NO need for an aftermarket reg, adapter or additional end pieces. Always shoot 2-3 mags then refill. Have not had the patience to chrony till it falls off. Ran it thru 2 mags and a 10 fps spread. I have it power tuned for 33.95's like them at 885 fps.and shoots the 25.39's at around 100 fps more. Have an Ernest Rowe tuned ,22 that's a little better on spread like 7-8 fps. Ed drove a SUV on his Matador, think the side lever would be damaged on the Cricket. Plenty of online info on tuning- maintainence. Parts and info Charlie Freer at Georgia Airguns. Low 30.00 mags and no moving parts.
