Confused on which scope to buy PLEASE CLOSE

Thanks all I'm done, made a new post with my choices.

I have a SIG ASP20 .22 Synthetic coming in, it's my first 'real good' Airgun. It has about 20 ft/lbs so it has some 'thunk' and I worry about scope life.

I'd like to get a good scope no more than $200 or so. I'll be shooting small pests and plinking mostly, really never more than 30 yards.

Eye relief seems to be a reach for me also. I do have a UTG 3-9x32 AO Compact CQB Bug Buster Rifle Scope with a Leapers Accushot 1-Pc Bi-directional Offset Mount w/1" Rings. It helps with my eye relief problem. I'm pretty happy with the scope, I target at 20 yards and no more than 30 for pigeons. I know for $200 I can do a lot better and get a durable scope with better optics.

Suggestions would really be appreciated, actually more like really a big thank you!!!!!!

+1 on the Veyron for the money, I like mine, was just drilling holes in holes in the rain with mine, it stays on my Leshiy now... I removed it to test repeatability and put it back on, dead nuts... Nice glass, like the reticle, it's my first FFP scope...

I like mine... Got it from Brian @ EdgunWest, insanely fast shipping from CA...

PS replaced my b-buster with the Veyron... Glad I did

I disagree, the cheaper Hawke scopes and UTG are really not very good compared to some of the newer offerings, just my opinion! There is far better for the money. I'd recommend either the Bushnell Engage which can be had for about $250, the Vector Optics for $170 up, or one of the Discovery scopes which can be had for under $150 up. All are fantastic, just depends on what you want to spend. Airgun Optics plus has the Discovery line and the Vector Optics and if you sign up for his mailing list, you'll get a 10% off coupon for your first order.

I have many great scopes that I bought for under $200,I buy used and research everything about a scope before I buy it....

Think strong mounts, that is half the battle; you do not need anything higher than 12 power for a springer..more just adds weight.....I have had good results with Bushnell Legend scope....then Trophy....the newer Bushnells may also fill the bill,....I also like Sightron .Make sure the scopes you are interested in can take recoil.....you do not need to spend a lot to get a lot of scope for your needs, keep it KISS.ps,I got some really cheap scopes that have worked for years on my springers.....Tech-Force.....guys don't laugh....they work for me.

Well I put my UTG 3-9×32 AO Compact CQB Bug Buster scope on the ASP20 .22 it and it just didn't work. Ohh the scope is fine but to get close enough was impossible without so much tension I couldn't do nothing but spray the target. I will say the ASP20 .22 Synthetic is a much more solid airgun and feels good!

I put on the 'Ahem' scope that came with my Gamo Swarm Maxim. It has a much longer tube, It's 7" from the eye side of the adjustments and I think about 2" eye relief. I was able to sight it in pretty well at 10 yards and it's so much more repeatable than my Gamo gun!

Looks like I'm still searching for a long tube scope about $200 max. I did watch the vid posted by Bfloyd1095 on the Bushnell AR Series scope, it has over 3" of eye relief. It sounds pretty good, I'm 61 and do have cataracts starting (minor though). Sure would like to know the length of the tube, etc.

Lastly, what about the Whisky 3 ASP scope?

Still looking and learning a lot! Thanks for your time.

One drawback: at low magnification the reticle is VERY thin and there is no illumination. Under low lighting and black targets you can't see it. I sold my Discovery VT3 compact (basically the same scope) for this.

You could consider the SFP version tough, which doesn't have this problem.
