Here's a new one for me. I mounted a Bug Buster low mount scope on a M4 type gun. The front sight post is in the way of the optic, yet it has a clear sight picture and adjusts just fine. Been looking thru scopes for 60 years, and this has me stumped. How is this possible? Thanks in advance, Bob.

oh oh I got this 
thats because it is so close to the objective lens that it is out of focus that it "disappear". On lower magnification say 1x -you can see it as anyone running an AR15 with a red dot will tell you, as you go higher in magnification light "bends" the front sight post get fuzzy and depending on the the magnification usually 3x and up it will appear to disappear. SCIENCE !

Lol science rules. I can see the front sight (well more correctly the fiber optic on my front sight)on my crosman phantom thru the bsa 4x32. I just chalked it up to a reflection but now i know.
