Confused about The Fill Probe and Adaptor - Problem Solved

Disaster?
Well, these air rifles that come with no instructions are a lot of fun for a newbie like me….not!I attached the Fill Probe to my fill tank fill hose. I could not push the fill probe into the fill hole.

When I slowly turned on the air from the tank, air was leaking from the fill probe area. I didn’t let it go long. So I reseated the probe. Turned on the air again. Still leaked. I don’t know if I have the silver/black “washer” in the right place on the fill tube. I don’t know why the thing is leaking. I couldn’t be more disgusted right now. I think I'm 100% disgusted with me, not the gun. I have an AA. It requires a different hook-up. I have two Daystates, different hook-ups. I tried to share a couple of photos below. Can anyone tell me where this silver washer goes?

Am I doing something wrong (other than thinking I have the temperament for these PCPs). Thanks

I looked at the FX Manual, again. There was a picture of the fill probe and the connector to the fill hose. (I couldn't tell if it was for my rifle or for all FX rifles) I could see what appears to be the silver washer (with inner black O-ring?). The washer was between the probe and the connector. I had it on the probe instead (like the picture.

When I switched it, the probe went in fine and doesn't leak when I move air from my tank. I got the gun filled (it was on 150 from AoA) to 220 (given my earlier experience I was afraid to go to 230). No problems now. Hopefully, that little glass cover coming off the gauge that I put back on doesn't cause a problem.

Yep, I was freaking out. Too much money to screw it up out of ignorance.
Thanks
