"Cheap" means different thing to different people. Can you put a number on it so we can help you out a little better?
I'm a fan of the Altaros booster ~$650 (Here's why). You'll need a shop compressor that puts out 5CFM+ @90psi or more which will add ~$300-$400 (the bigger the better/faster). I'd also recommend some kind of desiccant filter somewhere in the line. The Altaros already has a high pressure one. I still added another one coming off my shop compressor that has debris filter and desiccant dryer stages. It's better for tools and everything else so, why not?
Here's the Makita shop compressor I went with. If you read the thread you'll see that it originally did not work well because I missed an adjustment on the Altaros. After I made the adjustment, everything works just as it should.
