This is my first air compressor, and I'm wondering which gauge is considered more accurate? My Omega compressor gauge consistantly reads 300 psi higher than the tank gauge. So is it safe to set the auto shut off at 4800 or so to get 4500 in the tank?

For safety sake, go by the gauge that reads higher.

Its a Omega tank, 75 cu-ft. Thinking I may just keep the compressor shut off set at 4500psi and play it safe.

From my experience using a daystate. Consider how hard the compressor has to work to get to 4500 psi. I’d suggest stopping at 4000 or 4200. Something to consider
