Hi,

First my thanks to all those that a few months back helped answer many questions I had on making the jump from break barrels to an FX Continuum due to shoulders in worse shape than those on a narrow dirt road crossing a cow pasture. So after selling some safe queen powder burners and being appropriately "Stimulated" by the Gubment I'm about to invest more in a PCP set up than my first 2 divorces cost me.

Would very much appreciate an education on how to assure I keep the air dry coming out of the Omega Supercharger compressor on the buy list ( other suggestions / recommendations most welcomed ) as I fill the 74 cu ft buddy tank that will transfer air to the PCP tank on the Continuum.

Truth be told this is a HUGE technology jump for this 'ol 71 year old break barrel Boy. Between the Continuum and the compressor there are what appears to be more moving parts than there are on a Space Shuttle. Not complaining about the cost involved, fortunate to have the funds after saving up a while to do the deal ,but with this kind of $ involved I don't want to mess up the Air Gun with wet air .Any advice,recommendations ,suggestions on what sort of gear is out there to put in line between the compressor and the tank and how that is set up would be very much appreciated.

On a very busy day of shooting with my family on a hot Virginia day, I found out the hard way about moisture in a gun. I forgot to bring extra cotton filters but figured it would be ok. Pumped my Leshiy full of moisture which eventually destroyed the reg. Better safe than sorry. If it gives you peace of mind, don't worry about if others think it isn't necessary.

To be fair although not breathing quality, the air from an OMEGA if you blow down frequently is very good, the DIABLO or the large cylinder dessicant unit that the supplier sells is all that is needed, I used one for a year and stripped my guns, there was not a hint of moisture inside despite filling my SCBA cylinders on an almost weekly basis with the OMEGA.

One of the first and foremost ways of getting rid of huge amounts of moisture is to remember to purge your system often. I purge my system after every five minutes of use. Then I change out my tiny Yong Heng filter every 15-20 minutes and set it aside to dry and use next time. Because of this I have not had to change my big gold three part filter for the year I have had it.







Your Compressor will have an automatic purge system on it. If you are getting moisture in your tanks set the timer to purge more often and or add a second or two to the purge time. This is your first defense against moisture build up.

You probly should have a secondary filter as well. One of these gold filters will werq well. You can put a single stage filter in if you wish.

WOW! Cant thank all of you enough.I fell like I went from a bicycle pump level of compressor knowledge to at least a level where I can begin to know what to look for and where to look for it.As all of you are more aware than me, as I haven't spent the money as yet 😂😉 ,jumping into the PCP World from the break barrel arena is a huge $ jump and a heck of a steep learning curve. Don't know how I could begin to make educated decisions on the PCP air gun and compressor purchases with out the input and info I have picked up from so many on the Forum.

'm certain I will have more questions to ask as I move deeper into the mix and closer to that all important :"Purchase Point" for the PCP,compressor, filters, pellets and hand sanitizer .
