Just wondering if anyone has used the Caldwell lighting kit on other chronographs... I *assume* it should work, but it would be great if anyone can confirm. I have the prochrono and that light kit is IR LEDs. I am guessing the Caldwell one is too but they have not answered my question about compatibility. (Not surprised...)
I recall someone posting that they used some cheap Harbor Freight simple LED lights for the purpose. Not sure how it would work since I havent' actually done it but I do recall reading about it.
I have the Competition Electronics Pro. Amazing Chrono. Never had a missed read or any issues at all. Has read as low as 385 fps from my Beeman p17 and as high as 1150 from my Hatsan at 44 (before installing a regulator to bring it down to a more reasonable 850). I have used it on bright sunny days and some pretty cloudy days. I mounted it on a beat up old camera tripod I rescued from my sister in laws garbage can (it had a broken elevation gear). I got mine off Amazon for $99 a couple years ago and it has made a huge difference in my shooting. Mine has even read the H&N FTT greens. Never tried any other alloy pellets
