N/A Compessor from Aliexpress?

They are reliable, BUT, the tariff situation is the problem now. I've read all kinds of horror stories. I have no idea of the specifics or even if they all are true, but it would definitely be reason for pause. I'd hate to buy something that is a hundred cheaper and then get a tariff bill for $200. I dunno, I'd bite the bullet and buy it here in the USA. There's a lot of deals available.

I discovered Aliexpress only a few months ago, and picked up a couple traditional bows at incredibly low prices; a recurve for $125 including shipping and a deflex-reflex longbow for $75 including shipping. The quality and performance of those bows humiliate some others ten times as expensive.

Unfortunately since the tariff situation I've noticed shipping charges on many Ali items are nothing less than insane. Also, it's not unusual to receive something other than what you think you ordered. READ EVERYTHING ABOUT AN ITEM BEFORE BUYING, lest you buy something totally different than you think you're buying; example- PART of an assembly, rather than the whole assembly you thought you bought.

I have been using AliExpress for years and have been happy with their products and service. My spare compressor Nuoge (GX CS1 clone) was far lower cost than other suppliers, for example. They have been a great source for parts, although slower shipping (to Canada) than vendors like Amazon.

I share AirNGasman's caution about shipping costs. One has to pay attention.

I thought that I might of gotten burned on a GX CS4 purchase sent to my son ordered before the new year.

Product was shown as delivered....the wrong product to the wrong adress according to the fedex notice that I had receieved (pic included).

The aliexpress app tracking wasn't alarming and showed it in transit. I contacted the seller and was told in ESL to: "Thank you friend, please be patient"

It did arrive eventually and is the real deal. Fedex F'd it up pretty bad on the tracking, so it was really not the sellers fault.

Was the added stress worth the hundo in savings? That is debatable.

I probably wouldn't attempt a big purchase on there right now....you might get stuck with a hefty fee..

The GX website with their 10% off coupon was the lowest price I could find earlier this year when I bought my CS2. I buy small things from Aliexpress but not big things. If the difference is really $100 I might risk it but I would want something from them saying there would be no extra charge for tarriffs. You don't want them doing something like Krale was doing a month or so ago pointing to fine print in their generic T&C saying the buyer is responsible for tarriffs. Given the confusing situation I would want a "heads up" from the vendor if they are making the tarriff my responsibility. Not an after the issue is discovered point at the fine print.

My other caution about Aliexpress is they frequently do somewhat questionable things that are like bait and switch. Like send you an email with a really low price, you click on it, and it isn't really what you thought they were talking about. When I was looking for a CS2 Aliexpress was asking about $180 for the CS2 but that price did not include the 120 to 12V power supply. If you add that, they were more than the GX website. I bought several fill probes for my SPA guns from Aliexpress and they were inexpensive and work great, much better than the one from SPA. But their add for the probes gives a really really low price but it is for the replacement O-rings. The picture is the fill probe but if you read closely it is the O-rings. I don't think they do anything illegal but I think they deliberately try to trick you.

Do they come the fittings needed to hook up to the tank?
You may need a male/ male foster fitting depending on your tank valve. I have one that has both an in and an out whip that requires one to connect to the compressor whip. It's kind of a PITA honestly, so won't buy that type again.

But you should be mostly good to go

If your new compressor ends with an air line with a female foster and your bottle has an air line with a female foster then all you need is a male to male. But to add a filter to the compressor you may need to connect the existing line to the new filter and get a 5000 psi air line to go from the new filter to the bottle or gun. Amazon has them. I also put a one way valve on the output of the extra filter so I don't loose the air in the bottle if something goes wrong with one of the filters or the compressor. The one way also lets me open the bottle immediately after starting the compressor since the bottle cannot pressurize the compressor. Amazon has them too.

I also wonder if the listings are intentionally confusing. OTOH, eBay and Amazon searches are often enough to send one to therapy. +1 on the risk that you described. One of our popular Canadian airgun suppliers has "bait and switched" on at least three occasions so I will no longer deal with them. JDB pellets (500 pkg) are shown in the add, but what arrives are a different make, in (250 pkg) that they claim are made by JSB, down in the fine print.....

I won't name them because that just opens up fights by those who think they should defend.
