comparing pro sport 177 and the 22 models

Thoughts, mostly concerned about the cocking effort,

had a pro sport in 22 and sold it due to hard cocking now I want another

I have two Pro Sports, 1 in each caliber, both tuned with Vortek kits. You should be able to find the tuning test posts I made on each in the archives. I don’t find the cocking to be offensive when properly tuned.

I have the .177, back when I was shooting it a lot (100+ rounds a day,4 days a week) my hand would hurt from the lever. Never had any issues with my arm just using my palm to grab on caused soreness. Now I moved onto pcps and haven't looked back.

You can also sand and polish the cocking arm so that the feel on your hand is much better. Looks better too.
