Compact Scope With Illuminated Recticle?

I have a bug buster but curious what other options are out there would like to stay around the $200 give or take mark. First focal plane or second focal plane any options would be greatly appreciated.

Sit tight for about a week and wait for independent reviews for a scope that's much nicer and illuminated compared to the VT3 Discovery. BTW that Discovery VT3 has a 3 year warranty. I would send it in. You could sell the brand new one you get back and recover 3/4 your money back. It is also hands down superior to the UTG Bug buster and all other lines of UTG scopes. I still have and use UTG scopes but won't be buying any more other than the plenty that I already have.

What scope should I be keeping an eye out for, and for the vt3 I sent it back and paid a little extra to get the veyron compact.

If you want to try the UTG Compact 3-12x illuminated mini SWAT You can get them for around $120 if you shop smart however knowing that you have a Vector Veyron inbound I am not so sure you are going to be pleased with the UTG especially after looking through that Discovery VT3 before the side focus broke as well. The other scope isn't as compact as the Veyron nor VT3 though but it's small for its specification and several steps up at around just above the budget.

You could try the HD version of the Discovery which is illuminated that's right at the budget. It is a step up from the Veyron believe it or not.

I see you had a 4-20x Discovery HD how did you like it? Also noticed you are interested in shooting at long distance too. Did that Discovery HD have enough magnification at 20x max for you?

The HD discovery I had, had debris inside the lens so returned it for a replacement and sold it between the 2 discovery scopes both had issues so bad luck I guess but it put a bad taste in my mouth. As for shooting far thats not the goal for this setup its going on a walking around pcp for the woods.

IMPROVED INFORMATION on several of the posts above. 😊

Yes, the Discovery scope linked above did not have illumination.

But this one does. Still super compact. And it's from the HD line (better glass): HD 3-12x44 SFIR FFP

Find below a Scope Specs List with around 40 scopes that are either SHORT or LIGHT, or have a magnification range of 3-9x or 3-12x.

For FFP there are few options with IR, for SFP there are more. Especially some Hawke from their compact series that came out just recently.

The Scope Specs List gives you price, warranty, IR or not, reticle and turret units, max. elevation adjustment, SFP/FFP, and weight and length.

Almost all scopes on the list have side focus down to 10y, and exposed turrets.

PS: I'm sorry your sidefocus broke! 😧 I have the same scope, and it does wonders for pigeons out to 50y and more. And as a turret dialer I have had no issues with it either.

Yo - so what's this scope you are referring to here?
