Compact Scope With Illuminated Recticle?

Sit tight for about a week and wait for independent reviews for a scope that's much nicer and illuminated compared to the VT3 Discovery.

Yo - so what's this scope you are referring to here?

Yo, you got me curious, too. That would be a scope I'd be interested. 😊

Just need 10y SF, FFP, exposed mil turrets, holdoff mil reticle. 👍🏼

Don't forget IR would be a nice touch.

You bought 2 of them minis FFP and illuminated already and both total cost for pennies under $400 for 2.

I know - I'm just curious if that's the scope you're talking about or something different coming out. Always interested in new releases on items.

Besides, Yo, I'm still waiting on the shipping on those 2 Discovery scopes.

i bought this off of yo's recommendation and am loving the scope. i upgraded from a bugbuster 3-9, so the bar on visual quality wasn't set high before, but it's definitely noticeably better.

my only complaint is that when going from 6x down to 3x, it gets really hard to move. 3x up to 12x works fine, as does 12x down to 6x.

Yo - is there a throw lever you know of that will fit the zoom on this scope?

size comparison if level of compactness is a large concern. IMO the size difference is negligible when compared to the profile of the airgun its on

sticman,

a few months ago I did a broad and deep search for throw levers for scope magnification rings.

I don't know what size your magnification ring is (but maybe you can post it, one day I might buy this same scope and will want to order a throw lever ahead of time...).

Well, I needed something like a 41mm / 1.61" inside diameter throw lever. So, I'll just copy you the links were I found some -- not all have the diameter I needed, check out the descriptions and specs carefully.

Hope you find something!

Matthias

ABOUT this product an Amazon customer wrote: “It seems well constructed, but it is NOT 42mm clamped down, it is 44mm on smallest size. This is their 44mm $6.99 ring with a strip of narrow foam added for $3 more. It is solid, and the long lever is really nice. If you need smaller than 44mm, this will not work with out some help.”

Very nice, and often rather expensive for the material used (both alu and polymer) -- made for specific brand name scopes:

There are a few companies that make very nice, and often rather expensive throw levers -- for specific brand name scopes. You'd find* a brand name scope that has the same magnification ring diameter as yours. Then buy a lever for that brand name scope.

*The page that states diameters of many scopes is: https://www.switchviewusa.com

I haven't tried the ohunt yet but will probably buy a lot just to have and make them work since they're made out of aluminum and priced right IMHO.

thank you all! i'm going with this to try: https://www.amazon.com/Canis-Latran-Magnification-Adjustment-Riflescopes/dp/B01MT5LNR2?th=1. and will report back if it fits. if it does not, i will go with what cmatera, and yo recommended re: the plastic one that can be adjusted to fit.

here's the best pic i could get, also looks right at 1.6 inches JungleShooter

I'll report back to this thread after it arrives and i test the fit! if there is room for wiggle, then the ohunts will probably work too

That handle should work as my original vt3 3-12x discovery measures about the same 1.5” (Different knob). It has a 42mm canis latrans short handle, 2 screw version on it and it fits perfect. The 2 screw model is labeled as their version 2 design.
I bought and looks to be still for sale from Aliexpress from china. The short height is great for these compact scopes.
