Personally, I consider a gun that has an overall length no greater than 30” with moderator included. Like my old Compatto I don’t consider compact because with a Tanto on there it is 38 inches plus overall length.
For me, "compact" in an air rifle means not only a short rifle, but also light. The AGT Vixen Standard @ 30" and well under 5 pounds is well worth considering. This is especially true as I get older. Thanks. Great thread.
I have a .22 cricket standard...and .25 the .25 is as long or even 1 1/2 in longer than the taipan long..using both I came to se that for me 28 of the standard is as long I want a rifle to be.. and at 24" my cricket compact 177 is as short I could enjoy using one..so the .25 barrel went to the machinists to be shopped down to 18" so I could assemble a .25 standard.
