Doing little projects waiting for the rain to stop . I decided to cover my cheek rest with 3mm thick closed cell foam with adhesive backing . I traced out the pattern with paper then transfered it to the foam . Take your time placing it on the rest . Feels much better than the plastic and it doesn't feel like your face is sliding around the rest . I picked up a 10" x 10" five sheet pack w/ adhesive back for around $13.00 including shipping . ebay , amazon or your local crafts shop (which is probably closed now) . Took 20 minutes to do .
