Coltri MCH 6 Owners, get in here, this thread is for you!!

Talked with my Electrician earlier.

He’s recommending 25-30 AMP to be really safe and the wiring and parts are not much more than if I went with a 20 AMP solution. The Coltri Specs say the 230V needs 17A. I’m good with whatever he recommends.
I agree. Better to have too much capacity than too little.

I ended up purchasing a Daystate T2 after discussing it with the team at Nuvair. They advised me to choose a 220V compressor, which makes sense since it has a shorter run time and requires less maintenance. The T2 fills up tanks more quickly, which is a huge time saver for me at home. I can still take my inexpensive Chinese compressors with me when I'm out in the woods.

I was at Fox Air Power recently, and they are offering 10% off during the 4th of July week. That promotion helped sell me on the purchase, so I hope to receive it pretty quickly!

What fill hose adapter or separate hose, do I need to fill my Tuxxing CF 6.8l fill tank with an ICON MCH 6?

re. Great white - The compressor comes with a male DIN300 fill hose adapter feature which will connect to my HP3 female DIN 300 valve on a Great White 9L. Compressor hose has the male DIN300 threaded bolt which threads into the female DIN300 valve on the GW. I’m good here.

However, I have an Ali Express dual gauge fill valve on the 6.8L with a foster male QD for compressor filling. It does not have a DIN300 female threaded port. So, I need a way to connect the ICON DIN300 male end of the supplied hose to a male foster QD on my 6.8L fill valve to fill it. Obviously, I need a female foster QD adapter to attach to the male foster on my 6.8L.

I cannot find any adapter on the Nuvair website, which has a female DIN300 threaded end ( which would connect to the compressor hose with the male DIN300) on one end and a female foster disconnect on the other end. I’m guessing they don’t make such an adapter.

Do I need a separate 2nd hose with different adapters to fill the 6.8L? I have two fill whips with female fosters on both ends of the hose, but I cannot see the connection on the Coltri compressor.

Please assist if you can.

Thanks

Thank you Jerry! Yep, that’s what I need.

I missed seeing this lil’ bugger on AoA website. Forgot to check AV also.
Appreciate the quick help!

I got mine on AliExpress
I just found this on AliExpress:
$22.25 | High Quality SCUBA Valve Air Filling Station Charging Adapter to G5/8 or 5/8BSPP DIN Adaptor 300 Bar W/ 8mm QD Coupler Socket
Thanks Brandan!

I ‘selectively’ get some HPA stuff from Ali, but with two U.S. Retailers ( AoA and AV) both having the correct DIN300 female to female Foster QC, I have what I need.

Thanks again guys for the quick turnaround.

You are quite welcome...I love my coltri compressor. I never worry about air when shooting. I have two tanks that I always keep topped off.
Going to order mine in August. Have the Electrician coming week of 8/11 to install a 230V, 60Hz 2-prong 30 A circuit in the garage. Q. How long is the power cord?

Don’t want to use any extension cords.

Just scheduled my 230V - 60 Hz single phase 2 prong 30 A circuit install using conduit ( which I Like ) for August 12th.

He asked me if anyone on AGN knows what the exact plug and receptacle configuration is for the ICON MCH-6. We looked everywhere and Coltri is Italian made, but we need to know which plug and receptacle is needed For the U.S. market.

I can ask Mitch also tomorrow, but if you have a visual also, that would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tom

my Coltrii came wiith a almost 6 ft cord and NO plug
I purchased my own plug and recepticle,,, to match the load, wiring, and breakers
That is odd. Not sure why a Coltri MCH6 230V spec‘d device would not include a plug for the U.S. Market. A power cord with no plug? Or, at least a recommendation.

My Alkin was the same, cord, no end. I used a 30a 220v twist-loc plug and receptacle for mine. I figured they don’t know what the end user has available, and it’s easier to buy a matching set that try to match what someone may or may not have.
Thanks Scotty, and others.

Just sent your reply to the electrician. Very helpful!
