Color Coding / Marking your Scope Wheel for POI difference for Summer / Winter

 I guess one has no choice but to mark their scope wheel...but what stands out is the user's great color coding & marking choice for same distance at summer or winter temperature...

NB: 2nd Focal Plane / Schmidt & Bender Field Target Mk. II scope... used for 10 to 50 yards only...

I am drawing a complete blank here. Why would you need different markings for summers and winters on your Parallax adjuster. I can understand it with elevation but with focus...??

This is for Field Target set up. Scope focus is used to obtain distance to target.

In different temperature slightly different position of focus wheel will provide correct distance to the target. One needs to develop system to compensate for focus error at given temperature.
