Lockdown hit just as I traded in my 25cal streamline for a 25cal Impact mark 2 with pp. Que a three month wait for my local Registered Firearms Dealer to open again. Finally got my mitts on the rifle this week and managed to cram in two shooting sessions when everyone is asleep (light until past 2230 up here). Zero at 45 yards and was very accurate shooting jsb kings at 900ftps with the reg just over 100bar and hs on max with valve stem on three.
Due to a new baby coming just an hour after first session with the rifle and a demanding toddler I won't be out again for a while so consuming YouTube videos on tuning. I have the new superior liner and in my mind I want to get the rifle to a stage of shooting jsb king heavies at 860 to 880ftps then with a twiddle of the hammer spring to get between 875 to 900ftps with the kings as this rifle will cover areas not suitable for my 22lr. This seems entirely realistic from my research.
My plan is to max out the valve stem adjuster on 4 and increase the hs and reg pressure until I get the heavies to 890ftps or so then adjust the valve stem down until I hit desired speed, then use hs adjustment knob to get me shooting the Kings at the desired speed as well.
Any tips or tricks you guys have to assist me in my quest would be much appreciated as I am very new to this. Feel free to tell me I am well off on my tuning plan as my wife has hardened me to such criticisms..... Also curious about barrel indexing, lots of people refer to it but I have no idea how to go about it.
