I had a very enjoyable past few days. First was a dove shoot with my good friend Chuck Misenheimer. I watched him shoot 100+ collard doves an hour for 3 hours while sitting in the same chair. The only time he got up was for air. Second was helping out at the EBR. What a great experience it was to meet and watch some of the best shots in the world. After the EBR came more collard dove shooting. Once again Chuck amazed me with his shooting with his FX500. We are going iguana hunting in a few months and I'm pretty sure he will be taking the FX500. I'm trying to post a picture of a small part of Chuck's doves but can't get it to load.
Ok, got the pic to load. This pile is just a small part of what Chuck shot.
Oh boy that is some shooting. I guess the doves were so oblivious that they did not even fly away ? In my country collared doves are very intelligent and skittish. However laughing doves are always sitting ducks
That was a blast! I hope we can do something like that again! There were so many doves, they were practically landing on one another. I think they appreciated us "clearing out" some landing spots.
I kid you not, guys... I started to practice LIVE speed silhouette. Popped one and, none of the others moved! Game on! I got 4 total before they all took off. lol
Zoom in on this pic. They're everywhere! Roof, power lines, ladders, supports...
