I'm shooting a FX bobcat at 28 yards. Normally it dime size groups. But since its gotten cold my groups opened to 3/4 inch including flyers. Has and one seen this? My gun is cold and pellets.

Perhaps too much Yeager? Being a bit more serious have you cleaned the barrel? Checked the scope? You can expect some shift with temperature variations but don't forget you can't see the wind either. All things to think on and test. Also are you using the same tin/lot of pellets?

I had a similar problem that I just posted on. Only mine (Cricket) had no flyers or larger grouping, just a change in POI. Check it out in case any of that info could help you.

I could see the temperature changing the POI due to the pressure drop from the cold. But not sure why youd see larger groups? How much of a temperature difference are you talking about?

I just did a little testing and find that the cold definitely effects my Wildcat. For some reason when the reg is cold, the ES opens up from 8 to 30. I found that my groups went from less than dine to about quarter size. I brought the gun in the house and shot over the chrono and saw the 30 ES. So I let it warm up for a couple of hours and sure enough, 16 shots and 8 ES. So, I just don't expect the accuracy when it is below freezing.
And, even at that, it was small enough to hit the kill zone every time.

The bulk of these guns are alu. Which contracts in the cold, and expands in the heat. It is to be expected!
