N/A CO2 pistol storage ?????

Can't believe I am asking this question now, but it was never a problem before. I have around 15 CO2 pistols that i have always stored with gas in them. I usually shoot a couple a week, but lately have been to busy. It seems that most have leaked out and now are not holding gas when I put a new cart in. Looks like I have some re seals to do.

Can you store a Crosman 2240 with gas in it for months at a time? Is it better to store the pistol with empty?

With the top of the cylinder shape like a funnel this would cause the 0 ring to be expanded . i would think IF left loaded with gas the 0 ring might streach over time , As a kid i never had any gas left so my pistol was always stored over night empty .

not all CO2 guns seal the same
you have two areas that will leak
one at the piercing point
one in the valve itself or both
many if not all modern CO2 gun seal at the piercing point with and flat or molded seal and over time they will crush and stop working and it is a wear item
and i would say none use Orings when 12gr carts are used but 88gr tanks do, confused yet
now most flat seals are not common Gamo use one size and Crosman uses many sizes and types
can you leave CO in a gun sure to a point will or would a CO2 cart degas over a long period of time, i think the answer is yes
a very slow leak would never stop the gun from working but could be flat on its face in 24 hours to say a month
the storage question has many answers but the truth is a cart pushed against a flat seal will crush it in time but as a use item did the cart do it or did time, i would say both
now older guns have the seals it the cap and there are one for the tube or two one for the tube and one for the piercing pin but that is a different story
