Co2 pistol recommendation?

hello everyone I messed up my wrist at work and usually use my 1377 to target practice daily. Tried using it the last few days and after about 20 shots at 3 pumps my wrist is killing me from pumping. Was thinking of picking up a co2 pistol. Had my eyes on the crosman 2240. But relaized if I wanted to upgrade I would be better off getting the 2300kt from the custom shop. Ran across the diana chaser in .177 today anf it is only a few bucks more than the 2240 but people have been having leaking issues.

My choices are either get a 2240 or diana chaser now then later on in the year get a custom shop 2300kt or wait and get the 2300kt in a few more months.

What does everyone think?

It's hard to go wrong with the 2240. Been around for a long time, works great out of the box. Easy to upgrade by installing the steel breech or any other custom work you want to do. Many videos and DIY articles on the net if you like to experiment. Parts from Crosman are always available should you ever need them Longer barrels from Crosman are easy to install and in my experience have always been accurate. The 2240 is a tried and true CO2 pistol.

but if looking ro something well made, and ready with no mods, a Mark I or II Crosman co2 pistol for a few decades back or the S&W Made 78 or 79G made with the same system is hard to beat!

the MK I and II are patterned after the Ruger .22 pistols, and the S%W is patterned from the S&W Model 41 .22 match pistol.

I kinda wanted more power, less weather dependent, and less filling expenses. As shoot PCP's it only made sense to go with a PCP Pistol. I recently picked up a Artemis SA 700 From Wes Bob in Canada, and it is amazingly accurate!

The S&W .177 79G and the Artemis together. The S&W's were actually made by S&W. Not farmed out,and quite collectable. Very well made. accurate, with rebuild kits available at very reasonable cost.

This was shot with .22 pellets from the NOE mold I used to cast them. It also shoots very well with slugs I cast from an NOE mold.

these are .2165" 29.2 grs. The target is 5 of the slugs in the group. Two top holes are crosman 14.3 gr hp from the tin.

third hit, a little over 1/2 inch low, using the cast slugs. The dot is 3/4" and was not present for the actual shooting. Just for illustration here.
