Co2 pistol leak

Hi,

So about 2 months ago i bought a co2 pistol(Bersa Thunder 9 Pro Co2) and it was fine, shot more than 2000 bb's but after a match i ran out of gas and bb's, so i tried to see what its like to DRY-fire it(the manual said nothing about it) and i tried a few times and left it to wait for some gas and bb's and when i put new gas canister in it, it started leaking from the barrel? Also i used asg 12g canisters

Was it wrong to dry fire it? is this fixable, and how much will it cost?

Thanks,

- Paul

Most debris will pass through when there is gas moving it but when there isn't, like when you dry fire, if debris is in the perfect place it can get caught between the seal and the seat. This doesn't happen often but it does now and then. Nothing wrong with dry firing most co2 or pcp guns. It is easily repairable on most guns. I can't say what it will cost.
