What is everyone using to clean the bore of your PCP's with? since I'm new to these pcp guns I sure do not want to damage the O-rings.

I have always used the Pocket Field Kit from Patchworm which costs just $10.50 and includes everything you will need. I recommend buying extra cotton felt cleaning patches and a 6 oz can of Ballistol.

Patch worm is much liked, and I use the Crown Saver.
I feel there is no need for a solvent like Ballistol, because there is no carbon fouling or gunpowder residue to clean up, and airgun barrels are soft and have shallow lands and grooves, they are easily damaged.
Pulling dry patches through until they come out clean works great for me.

I use a rod and either brass or stiff nylon brush and WD40 for scaling lead from from the grooves and then patches until clean and dry. Once a year I will do a complete clean up with JB Bore paste to make sure it's clean.

Thanks everyone. I have so much to learn about PCP's. There does not seem to be to many people in my area using PCP guns so every thing I have learned has been off the net.

Which gun do you have? Hatsan made it easy in that you can remove the part where the breech o-ring is in and safely clean the barrel without worrying about damaging it.

I tried something I read on here from someone..... forgot who and can't find it...
Took a weed eater string and cut little barbs on one end to hold patches...
Ran it though the bore and pulled patch through ...
did this until patches come out clean..... worked very well for me..
I am going to continue doing this.... thanks for the idea... (who ever you are)

Hi,
I need to clean my .22 pcp barrel and actually I don't have the fabric patches specially made for that purpose, what kind of fabric can i use to clean the barrel using the pull through method?
My gun is a Daystate Wolverine R HP .22 cal. by the way ( And I love it

An old white t-shirt cut into 3/4 squares works fine.

i took a piece of weedeater string .090 made 1 end into a point the other end i heated with a lighter and it mad a mushroom like ball on the end works like a charm.
