I have never cleaned the barrel on my Wildcat, except for when it was new 3 years ago, and it's always spot on accurate. My shooting partner has to clean his Wildcat regularly or his accuracy falls off. For my other guns I use a Napier pull-through. Wet patches until they come out clean, then dry.

My point is, if it's shooting well, I don't bother.
 
I crimp a pellet onto a length of cotton string with a 1" loop in the middle of the string. Drop the undersized pellet with the string down the bore , put a patch in the loop and pull it back and forth. Change the patch as needed. Be careful not to grind away at the breech 0-ring or remove it first. Kinda tricky to remove and install that 0-ring tho...but pretty easy with practice and patience,
