Cleanest slugs/ maker... that requires the least cleaning.

If the goal is to extend cleaning intervals, the things to focus on are the barrel prep and lubrication. The reason I say that is because 99 times out of 100, the decision of what to shoot will be based on getting the best possible accuracy or at least “good enough” accuracy for the money. In which case you’re just going to clean whenever the grouping tells you it’s needed.

Plus, basically the only two variables the slug maker can manipulate are the alloy and lubricant, and neither of these seems to represent a compelling factor. Most if not all of the well-regarded brands (e.g. Altaros, ZAN, NSA, JSB, H&N) use soft “pure” lead so that’s pretty well a wash. Regarding lubricant, you might want something pre-applied or something that is compatible with your favored lubricant (e.g. silicone vs petroleum base) so that comes down to a personal preference.
