Classified purchase Friends and Family

Addressing the 2 points of this thread.

I always leave feedback and actually enjoy doing so.
It is the lifeblood of the AGN classifieds.

Regarding F&F vs G&S
I prefer to buy using G&S for the protection PayPal offers
Especially regarding UPS/FEDEX/USPS issues
I always ask the seller if G&S will be OK if I absorb the fees
The reply is generally affirmative

Just all my cents

The 3 i dealt with all had a lot of feedback so they know how the system works. They also receive notice of my feedback.

Inexcusable to not leave feedback, especially if you are the seller.
You do don't receive notice unless you've been told in pm.
As in there is no notification system for feedback

Just curious. But why are so many listings in classifieds PP friends and family? Seems kinda sketchy. I would rather have some kind of insurance on goods and services and pay fees than FAF...
Use commen sence. If someone is selling a 2k dollar rifle and they have no feedback then it's a no brainer don't do it. But if they have alot of feedback from other well known members then you are safe 99.9% of the time

Agreed! I always strive to leave feedback whether buying or selling. It counts!

Taxes friend, when our current administration lifts the 600 dollar limit back to it's prior 20 grand level, have at it with G&S if you want, I'll bump the price accordingly.
Kinda crazy how many people dont realize this was changed a few years back. The IRS has postponed collection a couple years in a row now. I think at some point millions of Americans will get a wake up call when they ask for taxes on used sales.

Short and simple answer @Jgarret7, any sales combined of $600 or more per year will require to be reported to the IRS and they will get their money. Its up to you to prove you did not make a profit even on used items. And when it comes to places like eBay or paypal they will automatically send a 1099k form to the IRS itemizing all your transactions. Those of us that have been paying attention dont want to get hit with a 25-40% tax when selling a used pcp or scope etc.
