I know many guns have proven successful with time, and that newer models often offer advances based on what has been learned to function well. If you had it to do over again, especially if you've owned several of these, today would you get a cricket, bobcat MKII, wildcat, impact, Vulcan or what? Or is there one you wish you had not sold. I wish I could try them all and some of you have. I've had a marauder, verminator and wildcat, all of which I've enjoyed. But I've been intrigued by the cricket and bobcat and their reputation.

If you are looking for a Cricket standard.22 then you would be better off with a Mutant standard. They have the exact same CZ barrel but the Cricket is OLD. The Mutant is like a updated version. Quieter, better cocking, cocking handle can be switched left and right. More efficiant with a superb regulator. Don't believe me? Just ask Ernest Rowe.

I have only owned two high End pcp air rifles, both Crickets. My next will be the upcoming Mutant .25

.22 is the current largest they make?? Hope the .25 is under 33". I haven't heard from Tonton Doogy lately. He is awesome with his bobcat. It's very helpful to see videos of the guns in action. I guess people have their favorites, and vocalize it more than show it. Seeing the gun perform really helps its reputation. I think that's how some of them have become classics/legends or whatever you would call them.

Next time I got the cash Im going to take a mini vacation to Mesa Arizona just for that very reason........and might come home with something.
Yeah. That would be a good road trip. One day the sport will be more mainstream and there will be stores in every state with a large selection of guns. I do the same thing with powder burners. At least twice a year I take a trip to Bo Barrows in Butler, Ga. He has tons of guns and some of the best prices in Ga. Reed's sports in Minnesota is another good one with free shipping on most guns with good prices. I hope that type of availability occurs with pcps soon.
