Choice 4.5 or 5.5 Tx 200 (12ft/lbs) hunt sparrow, pigeon at 32 yard (30m)

Hello, I'm French, I apologize in advance for not speaking well.

I'm going to buy an Air ArmsTx 200 (12ft / lbs), I'm looking for the best caliber to hunt pigeons and sparrows at a maximum distance of 30 meters.

Choose the punch (5.5) or the speed to be sure to touch (4.5)?

in 16 joules, i suggest you 177 because trajectory is much better. 

177 destroyes sparrows and pigeons. tried and tested!

Either one will do fine if you are shooting them at that specific range. If instead you are shooting them at varying distances out to 30m, the .177 is a better choice for the reason tsakula mentioned. 

A wadcutter pellet is a great choice for sparrows if your gun is sufficiently accurate with them at that distance. I use them on pests up to the size of gray squirrels.

I would go with the .177 in a 12fpe gun because it will shoot faster and flatter as mentioned by others.

I agree with the others. .177cal is the way to go.
