Chipper #61 for 2021, #10 for October

After not getting a shot at this one Monday or Tuesday, I decided to set up at daylight today even before I spotted the chipper. Well, after about 2.5 hours this strategy paid off.

The chipper emerged from a hole (which I had not previous seen) a foot or two to the left of my wood pile right at the bottom of the privacy fence.

Shot was ~15 yards. Entry was just forward of the left shoulder (slightly high for a heart shot) and exit was high and just behind the right shoulder. This one flopped for about 5 seconds before expiring, so it was not exactly a perfect heart shot. But, as you can see from the pics, no blood so it was a heart shot. I am still dialing the scope back in as the Aim Sports Alpha6 has what I call "time delayed" turrets. In other words, this scope is no good if you click for range.

~15 yards with .177 Benjamin Fortitude using LUM77 10.5 @ ~750fps for ~12+fpe. Scope is Aim Sports Alpha6 4.5-27x50.

First pic is entry, second pic is exit, third pic shows gun and pest. Ping pong ball for scale.

edit: Fourth pic shows setup with added butt cushion and built-in cigar holder. (grin)

Oops! Forgot to mention that I added something to my garbage can setup to make the long stalking times more comfortable. My behind feels much better! (smile) Also note the built-in cigar holder. (chuckle)
