There have been many of you that have asked how high can the HSCA capture through the scope so I demonstrate 2.4K@60FPS and Still have 4K@30FPS in reserve. The point of this video is to demonstrate just how clear you can capture a shot but it comes at a cost of the pellet in flight action.
The limitations are that of the camera. The camera I use is the GoPro Hero 4 Black which offers the following capture modes:
3840 x 2160 - 30 fps
3840 x 2160 - 25 fps
3840 x 2160 - 24 fps
2704 x 1520 - 50 fps
2704 x 1520 - 48 fps
2704 x 1520 - 30 fps
2704 x 1520 - 25 fps
2704 x 1520 - 24 fps
2704 x 2028 - 30 fps
2704 x 2028 - 25 fps
1920 x 1440 - 80 fps
1920 x 1440 - 60 fps
1920 x 1440 - 50 fps
1920 x 1440 - 48 fps
1920 x 1440 - 30 fps
1920 x 1440 - 25 fps

1280 x 720 - 240 fps (Best for tracking)
1280 x 720 - 60 fps
1280 x 720 - 50 fps
1280 x 720 - 30 fps
1280 x 720 - 25 fps
848 x 480 - 240 fps
In most of my videos when you clearly see pellet in flight it is 720@240FPS when allows an awesome amount of post production material to work with. 1080@120FPS can sometimes give good results but the lighting has to be perfect. I really want 1080@240FPS as a minimum but the cameras that offer these characteristics don't offer easily configured lens changes.
The Hero 6 Does offer 1080@240 but again the lens changes required to get the proper eye relief and focus on the reticle is not easily accomplished with this version.
You're right about the 1080/120 where the lighting has to be right. The last woodchuck I shot (working on the video), the lighting is such that the first two shots the pellet isn't visible and the third shot is barely visible.
