If it has Lens Elements commensurate with it's tube diam. (~30mm) then it should have some advantages

It will be a bugger for perceived parallax.
The Russians (in particular, amonst the east european countries) are capable of making rifle scopes to match ANY other..er..countries' output - and they have been doing so for many decades.*
*Small factoid - as you'll be aware from the 'Enemy at the Gates' film and the set-up there - not only did German (Nazi) Snipers operate under a bounty system they also personally paid runners/whatever to collect the fallen Russian sniper scopes from the battlefield.
They swapped their German scopes to the superior Ruski type straight away!
Quality Glass making originates in 'Bohemia' (historically) and later certain types of Glass making settled Venice (not the sort WE are interested in!).

Yeah I wish I could see one in person . But knowing Ed the owner of Edgun I can't imagine it's anything but NICE !!! That guy has a well earned reputation in the community for a reason .
The fact he didn't just go with a 1inch tube and slap all kinds of low cost-high profit " Extras" on it REALLY has me intrigued !
I contacted him once when I was looking for a particular O-ring ( not one of his by the way ) and he said he had some and sent them to me FREE OF CHARGE from the other side of the world . Guys like that are not the type to sell one of the cheap scopes at big markups .

Im not sure and its been a while but I saw a thread on this before on another airgun forum and I think that even Ed himself wasnt overjoyed with them? Looks like a certain Cyclops might have to dig a bit deeper.

Joe... why not just stick with the proven winner the MILQUAD SWFA SS in 10 or 12X? This is just re inventing the wheel. Ain't no sense leaning into a left hook.
