cheap web cam for ratting

I'm looking for a cheap door cam or something that will let me know when rats are around my chicken coop.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

You can get cellular trail cams on amazon for <$100, not sure on reliability of them though.

@Glow Bull Worming correct me if i'm wrong but the trail cams will let me know there are critters there. I already know that. I'm looking for an alerting system so I don't sit there and wait all night long.

Kind of like a door bell so that I know they're there.

The cellular ones can send txt/email of activity, but I dont have first hand experience with them so idk if theres a big delay that would cause you to miss the opportunity, plus I think you need a data plan for some of them.
Maybe some of the wifi ones can send instant alerts too... if your chickens get wifi signal in their coop

Depending on the distance from the chicken coop to your wifi area, a cheap option is installing a Wyze cam. Wired they are like $25 dollars. Wireless are a bit more. They will alert you by notification based on movement and or sound. That coupled with a HF ding dong is a good combo.

I have a Guardline Wireless Driveway alarm. Bought it off of Amazon. Has up to a 1/4 mile range. Lets me know when the neighbors cats and the wild turkeys go through. Sending sensor is thermal. Receiver plugs in outlet in house. Can get loud enough to wake me.

Wyze cameras. All you need is a power source and a wifi network. Color day and black and white IR night vision. Can set motion areas, get alerts on your phone (or not). Roughly $35 a piece. Picture quality is way better than what your expecting. Check them out, tons of footage on the internet. Super easy to set up, my grandma could do it.

I was at HF today and the pictured audio motion detector is $14.95. I'd consider one, but I have several deer that make my yard their playground at night, I'd don't think I'd get a wink of sleep. But I sure would be able to know when the coons come thru.

you can always disconnect the audible alarm like i did.....and just look for the red light to flash
