You have to make a few modifications if you want to isolate primarily raccoons. As set up like that skunk can clean you out before raccoons get the bait. So you either have to elevate the feeder off the ground so skunks cannot reach it they don't climb too well, or make a extension about 5 in so only raccoons can reach in.

There are tons of the trash pandas at the ranch my wife and I manage. They get the complete harvest of apples from our single apple tree every year.
Now I have a starting point on attracting them to a safe place to dispatch them. Sure they are eating game bird eggs as well.

The feeders that I've seen in the past like that have the 90 degree angle inside the bucket (facing down) so it doesn't collect rain water.
