Cheap but reliable/efficient squirrel ender?

I just got the pump pic. I have a 1322 but it's ancient. Bought it from a company that does that stuff. Even the original box. I break it out every now and again. Lube it with Crosmans pellgun and play. The company was Dave and something. Bought it a long time ago. I miss my 2289. Have that to my stepson. Disappeared at his father's house. Miss that thing. It could drop a squirrel within certain ranges.

Is that a pumper or co2?
Its a pumper with a lot of mods which many often do to them but they shoot real good straight out of the box and just the steel breech upgrade is needed just for rigidity IMHO.

A Daisy 777 or any 7x7 variant is only putting out 2fpe and the Vigilante puts out 3fpe. The 777 and variants have enough power to kill a bird or a rat with a headshot at up to 10-15 yards but would be a hard kill even at few feet away on a chipmunk unless it was a headshot.

oh? I’m waiting for for 750 too! Sold my 700 to a buddy, sounds like I might regret that move and beg to get it back. It is VeRY accurate, I thought the 750 would be the same except for the multi shot parts.

They are different guns. They cost around the same price so I would think the single shot P700 is built better.

On the LP8 is one mean azz powerhouse of a pistol! It's even more powerful than my HW45s and Beeman P1s. Can even tin can plink out to 65 with the LP8.

How do you like the sights on it? I see some complaints on Pyramid's review section about them. I've never used sights like that before.

I have to agree with you, will see how the pp750 goes. Worse comes to worse I’ll just buy another pp700, I really liked it and was hoping the 750 is just additional features

Since you want something to humanly finnish off an animal why not a .22 powder burner pistol? I notice you live in Oregon so I believe you would be able to carry one when hunting.

I'm just shooting yard pests at home. As a full-time caregiver, I can't even leave the house pretty much. Our HOA forbids use of powder burners.

Yeah as much fun as some of the pricier pistols look, I don't need them to do anything extraordinary. I'm leaning toward a cheap alternative after enjoying thinking about the more expensive ones but realizing I don't need that.

I agree with B.Guns the 2240 would work. Another plus with a 2240 is that you can always customize it later down the road.
