Changing liners on a impact?

I used all 3 rings spaced evenly. I also put built up wraps of electrical tape on either side of all 3 rings to keep them from rolling up and down the liner as some on here have suggested. Also make sure to index the liner and pick the position with the highest POI and then make a mark with permanent marking indicating the 12 o clock position to make it a breeze repeat after taking the barrel out for cleaning etc.

I have the Superior liner also and am amazed on how well it shoots everything that I’ve pushed thru it. .25 cal 700mm in a new Impact btw.
I hope this helps

Enjoy

I would advise just taking the o’rings out. I tested the STX,SLUG, and SUPERIOR liner with 0 to 9 o’rings in all different locations on the liner and all three of them shot the best with no o’rings at all. I’m a big proponent of testing everything, so I’d suggest you test my advise for yourself. Stoti

Stoti I've heard that before as well. I think Steve from AEAC even mentioned he takes his orings out. I think the orings are there to prevent flex is my guess. Thanks!

They are to reduce flex and vibration but the barrel is not really free floated since it’s connected at the front and rear. Because of this, they don’t seem to really do much. I’ve tested all of my liners extensively. Different numbers of o’rings, all kinds of different spacing and to my surprise, all of them shot better with absolutely no o’rings. I don’t know exactly why but it’s a fact. Like I said already, It’s great to get advise but you really should test your liner with various o-ring configurations. It’s the only way to really know what your particular gun likes best. Good luck.
