I didn't see any fawns with the doe in question.
That said, at this time of year any fawns are more than capable of surviving on their own. Though counterintuitive, there have been studies that show fawn survivability increases somewhat when the mother is removed.
Sappy bambi movies aside, any connection to the comfort of a family group is about artificially humanizing the animal population.

There is survive and thrive. When an animal loses its mother too young, they are stunted and rarely reaches their full potential.
Why do we have hunting seasons, and how were they decided? Do you even know? Again, I doubt it.
No Sportsman worth his salt would ever kill a deer this early in the year, whatever the reason.

so idk what seems to be the deal right now... this was a field of 12 deer and i took the one with no babys .. she had no milk in her.. and for someone who dont really know what they are talking about to say someone is not worth his salt as a sportsman witch is just a nice way of talking crap about someone is messed up. these deer are costing the farm a lot of money plus all the cars accidents because of all the deer in these area witch is why the DNR give us these deer damage tags..
Now if you want to say something negative about me just say it to me not as reply to someone else.... ON a side note some of these deer go to family's in need of help but thanks for your impute you must be a great sportsman with a lot of free time on his hands

I have heard those reasons word for word before, but they were from poachers. Maybe the lack of interest in your thread should be enough?

Buddy I'm just happy if I just help out one person.. this is going to happen one way or another.. I can shot them and show everyone what these guns can do or someone else can come in and shoot them and not help anyone... if u don't like it don't watch it its that simple

Dude just go away. It was a pest control hunt and nothing more. Sorry but mother nature is a mean woman and she can take care of herself. The animal world is a wild WILD thing, and far to often people try to conflate "human ideals" to animals. Animals have no worries about their young typically past 3 months. Many animals are able to survive on their own after this and staying with the parents can be extremely harmful to not only the offspring but also the herd.

I like the opening montage and hearing the different guns work in close succession. The big bores don't seem to have the "ping".
