CGA347 will not bottom out and leaks air???

I got a new tank today a 88cf I was using a 44cf tank before. I kept the CGA347 fitting thinking that they would be interchangeable. When I screw the CGA347 onto the bigger tank it does not bottom out and leaves a thread showing and air leaks from the threads. (I can see the Vent hole just barely showing past the threads when screwed in completely) I purchased charging adapter from EBay, but it worked perfectly on the smaller tank without any leaks. I’m confused and would like any help.

I checked for tightness and everything is snug. The CGA347 is tight as well just seems a little short for the bigger tank

I've found that the hand tight ones from China with the orange plastic gasket at the tip sometimes don't fit right on certain tank valves, and are larger OD than the white tipped ones. The one with the white plastic gasket at the end seem to be a slightly smaller OD and taper, and have fit all my CGA347 tank valves.

Yes the bottom one with the orange oring is the exact one I have. Looks like a replacement is otw.

For future reference, I replaced the white o-ring style (used with the retaining screw style nipple) with The O-ring Store part:

TEF010 AS568-010 Teflon (PTFE) White22 Duro Shore D O-Rings

Worked great. They are cheap so buy a few one size smaller and larger in case YMMV.

Also, you can get them at these sites at a higher price:

I think this is the one for the other style bottom o-ring (slides on without a retaining screw). Confirm before buying:
