Carm single shot fitment issue

Received my single shot loader for my Crown yesterday from Carm magazines. Upon sliding it in, it only went in a quarter of an inch and bound up. Ended up using a fine file, then my hand held vibrating sander on the slot side to get it to fit. Ended up taking about .007 off, a bit snug, but works as it should. Also checked the magazine slot on the Crown to make sure it was concentric, which it was. This was not a big problem, made it work, just wondering if anyone else has had fitment issues. I did send a email to Darko explaining the problem, along with the Crown slot dimension, hoping he will address this. Thanks Rick

Just the nature of homemade 3d printed parts. Tolerances are not as tight compared to CNC machining. From experience with 3d printing, it is always easier to sand a bit off to clear up tolerances compared to having to make a whole new piece. Most makers will prefer to make it slightly oversized to allow the end user to sand/shape to the required specs. It is easier for them that way, otherwise they would deal with a bunch of returns for items that are too small.

CARM magazine for .25 Umarex Gauntlet (Gen One) was too narrow, after refunding monies Darko said keep mag and try adding something to allow proper fit. Thin plastic junk mail fit the bill, rough cut out and Gorilla glue finished the job. Not pretty but huge improvement over OEM magazine. WM
