For those of you who use the Carm mags with slugs, I wanted to share a quick slugs hack I came up with today. Since I started shooting slugs I have been struggling loading my Carm mags with the lubed NSA slugs as their bullet like shape and lack of skirt causes them to be pushed out a bit, causing the mag to "half cycle" blocks the bolt from going trough and load another round. To allow the mag to cycle freely, the slug needs to be pushed in half way, just enough and not to much or it will fall out of its slot. Using a pin, Allen key, a tooth pic etc., takes too long and gets me irritated as I frequently end up pushing the slug too deep and it would fall out of the mag. So I wrapped a zip tie around my finger and cut it just enough so with every load I know the slug cannot be pushed in too far as the head of the zip tie prevents from "over pushing" it. Found this to be much less annoying and a huge time saver .
