I just acquired an ancient Daisy model 99. Made for training new gunners, it is more accurate than my “Red Ryder”. It is a mess externally, but that is a fun project to fix. At this point, there is no possibility of ruining its value by rust removal, re-bluing and stock refinishing. No plan to ever sell it anyway.
What is needed to maintain the function of the gun? What should be cleaned and oiled? Fair chance it has never been given any maintainance.
