It is pretty easy to work, and splittering would be the thing to be careful with. When cutting to length wrap with tape and use fine tooth blades. When drilling, high speeds and slow feeds...sharp tools.

It is basically as working with plywood or laminate - painters tape on top helps to keep holes clean
It is not as hard as metal, keep the speed high and move slowly
If you need to drill bigger holes in thin carbon be careful, do not rush, drill bit tends to bite between fibers and it can cause cracks

If its thin wall tubing, I would not recommend brad point, it is not enough material to support drill bit in place
I often have to drill carbon fiber paddle shafts, very thin wall, I'm using regular or Pilot Point drill bits.
The best results I'm getting by using Drill Press, high speed, sharp drill bit and not trying to rush,
If it's a big hole, I usually drill pilot hole - 1/16 or 1/8 of an inch

Just a tip - wear latex gloves when you're cutting/drilling carbon fiber. Tiny pieces of the fiber will bury themselves in your skin and they are almost impossible to remove.
