I'm new to PCP airgun I have a carbon fiber tank that I want amount to my UTV so it doesn't roll around but I need to know if it's okay to put a hose clamp on it and tighten it up will it damage the tank when I fill it if it expands or should I use some kind of rubber in between the hose clamp and the carbon fiber bottle to allow it to expand let me know thank you very much

Bungee cords or rubber straps would easily hold them in place without having to worry about marring the tank.

id mount a box and put it in that ..they make all sizes of metal toolboxes that would work at a reasonable price .. i suppose you could make one out of wood to but thats kindof cheezy lol ... new thought, a piece of hard luggage of an appropriate size would be another good option to make a dedicated 'trunk box' ...

As already been said, use some rubber between the clamps and the surface of the tank to prevent damage to the surface. If you have the rubber in between the tank and the clamps it will allow the tank to expand normally. Don't let the tank sit exposed to the sun as the UV rays will break down the resin system that binds the individual fibers together.

it's cheap and easy to make a stable base out of wood and bungee cord. It serves to carry the tank around without adding much weight.

I love mine. Very handy. I use mine as feet for my tank. Keeps it from rolling and provides some cushion if it were to fall.

A wratchet strap or 2 would be all right too just don't want the metal hooks or wratchet ends touching the tank
