Capybara Team !

If its a true semi-auto, I may consider it for $1400. Otherwise, my ol' Colibri will do just fine. I know it inside & out and can shoot it very accurately so fast, its almost like semi auto. I confess I like the lines of the Colibri better than the Capybara, and I think the Colibri is actually shorter than the Capybara... but thats just personal preference. The Capybara might be an awesome new design. Keeping an open mind.. Guess we'll see.

Congratulations on being one of those who have the opportunity to own Colibri ! As for the length, I don't think that's the problem, Capybara is only 5cm longer than Colibri.

Just what is taking Kalibrgun so long to release this rifle? I am close to giving up on waiting for it. They keep pushing back the release and failing on their promises to do so—not a good thing to do, Kalibrgun, if you want customers.

Hi everyone , great idea to create a topic dedicated to the long-awaited Capybara. I'm a great fan of Kalibrgun rifles but , in this case ….it will be a " no thanks". Capybara is available here in Belgium through Colenbrander ,a gunshop in Holland , BUT...it's not a semi-auto ( for safety reasons???? ), it's just a repeater. About 1400 euros. It seems that , in the future , a kit would be available to make it semi-auto. Strange.

Doubt, I ever get one of these, but do kind of like the looks. Now the original Colibri "Hummingbird" that was the most comfortable and natural rifle I ever shot. I loved mine and could not miss a squirrel with it and the MTC Connect. Plus is carried so well with a sling next to the body flat as a pancake, you actually could forget you was wearing it. But after sending it back two or three times for malfunctions, I just lost faith in it. Hope em success with this model, but sure is long time coming.

Old post. I'm a Kalibrgun guy, but that took too long for me. I have a .22 cal. Colibri that does everything this one does anyway.
I wanted a semi-auto action. Prefer .25 cal. too. So I ordered a different gun that is semi-auto in .25 cal.
Sorry Kalibrgun and the Capybara Team ! I'll bet it's an accurate little gun though.

Awesome gun! I own a .22. It’s not semi auto as was promised, but I still like the gun a lot. It came shooting a little hot for my needs...around 900fps with 18gr JSB and it was a little loud at this setting. A few minor hammer spring adjustments and I was able to turn down the speed to 860fps...a sweet spot for this gun. Noise level came down, shot count increased, and I’ve being shooting ragged holes at 45 yards easily! This gun is a keeper...I prefer this over a Colibri that I owned a few years ago. It’s a little thicker and heavier and feels very well made in my hands.
