Looking into a new scope and can't decide...

Looking at either the SWFA 3-15x42 or the Athlon midas tac 4-16x44 ! Both are first focal plain and I know the SWFA is bullet proof but like the turrets on the Athlon better....

And theirs a SWFA in the classifieds for $500 right now.

SWFA I have the fixed 12x42mm but that's a good price for SWFA 3x15 FFP $200 off

The swfa is a proven platform. I have two 10x md and one 12x mil-quad mil rad. If you are a clicker and need accuracy and very good glass look no further.

Hard to go wrong with either. On max magnification the reticle on the Midas is thinner & the mil hash marks are numbered. The SWFA mil-quad reticle is thicker and has no numbers.

SWFA. I have that same scope and have no complaints. I actually like it better than my vortex which was twice the price.

Forgot to mention I'm going big bore this year for deer season...thinking a Texan in .357 is going be my choice for now just because of availability and not over the top in price. If I like it maybe go with a slayer next year!

I'm Going with the SWFA 3-15 on this rig I've decided! Lol. The longest shot from the new deer shack is 140 yards so this setup should be perfecto!

I was looking at those two exact scopes. I’m definitely getting the SWFA but was concerned about using it to dial in distance using elevation turret. Please report how you like it as I’m still considering buying the Midas TAC as well. If the SWFA is superior, then I’ll buy two. 
On a side note with dialing in... I’m planning on buying custom turret cover and attaching a range tape. Any inclination for either scope for this?
