Sorry for boring you guys with my new toy but dang I'm enjoying it. I get home from work crack a beer and head to my cheap plastic table with a tin of pellets and my new .22cal HW95 Luxus. No air tank no scope just cock and shoot. Very relaxing and so easy to shoot. Check it out, not to shabby for 60yr old eyes. Peep sight at 55yrds. I cant even see the pellet holes till i walk down range, only know im hitting the trap from the sound of the impact with the metal. This is 16 rounds on a 3inch target

Now, as much as I love shooting, I don’t know that I would ever shoot in the general direction of a boat. You sneeze, and you will be doing some Gel Coat work.

With glass you'll be hitting that there little red mark instead of all around it. Haha
With these old eyes using irons I can only plink pine cones or soda cans, just can"t shoot for groups. With good optics acorn accurate to sixty yards isn't hard. Shooting with good glass will definitely define just how accurate you and the springer can be.
You made a good choice enjoy that Springer.

That's great, I would be happy with that group at 55 yards, springer, open sights. Good shooting. I have a 95L in .20 cal. open sights, I need to make friends with it again.

I know exactly how you feel. A couple of weeks ago a group of Target Fairies visited at night and in the morning I found they had strung a dozen or so political signs along my property 85 to 100 yards from my shooting bench. Seeing no one had asked if I minded donating my property to their campaign I wouldn't have to ask them if I could use the signs for rifle therapy. I feel so much better now! Vote early.... Vote often...

I don't blame you sonny, shooting iron sights that good is very rewarding in itself! And you got to love the balance of a non scoped rifle.
Next Springer, and no doughty there will be another, try a fwb 124 std or deluxe. Another must have/try springer.

Plus 1 on the FWB 124 with open sights. And the venerable HW30s/R7 is another great plinker with open sights.
