Bought from a trusted member here. When I open reg 2 air leaks out the rear seam of the power plenum. Tried cocking the gun and all power whel settings. Any ideas?

That o ring in the seam sounds like it has taken a set from pressurization and will not seal. Seen that a lot on wildcat end caps the minute I drain the gun and refill, especially if without air for an amount of time. In-line reg o rings also will do the same. May need to do a reseal?

I opened the reg to leaking with the handle cocked and hooked to my 4500 psi bottle opened as if filling. No go. Looks like i'll be learning more about the Maverick than I wanted to!

Get a better gun, Get on extreme airguns on youtube and scoll to gun fired by itself . You have the same valve system. That will show you leak spots in your valve.

We haven’t had a single problem with our Maverick in over a year. It’s a tack driver, consistent, powerful and has been flawless.
Cmatera, have you filled it and then fired it in rapid succession a couple times? That will sometimes get a valve to seal.

It was leaking so bad from the rear seam wher the plenum screws in to the end cap that goes into the block, that I could not pressurize at all. I don't think it ever was the valve, just my initial assumption. I watched E Rowe's YT vid and disassembled. I believe the gun may have been incorrectly assembled at the factory. When Rowe unscrewed his airtube (of course he may have done a dry run), the airtube unscrewed easily, and the endcap at the back of the rifle stayed in the block. When I unscrewed my airtube, it brought the endcap that is screwed into the block with it, and it was REALLY tight. I had to hold the rear section of the air tube with a sheet of thin rubber and use a 15mm wrench to get it off. I don't think the section of the airtube/plenum are supposed to be on that tight; the orings are supposed to do the sealing, not the tightness of the threads. The oring was certainly compressed and took a set (like Bigragu said), and did not leak until fully decompressed for shipment to me, sans barrel and bottle. I guess that's why I always heard not to let your guns get below 100-150 bar when in storage-things can happen. I ordered orings and will reseal the air tube. Is it me, or do the gauges on the Maverick totally suck? They are the smallest unreadable P'sOS I have ever seen on an FX product.

Funny thing is, on all the thousands of threads I have read, and hundreds on videos I have seen on you tube, the only time I have heared that happening ( the valve seat issue), is with a guy which before the insident, already had started a crusade against FX guns. Fact or fiction?

I'd sell it and get a better gun; I could sell my Impact MKII PP, M3, and Crown too, but since it just needs an o-ring, I'll keep it.
